Just Got Back from St. Lucia
On rest, reset, and what's next
Hi Future Regulatory Writer,
I just got back from St. Lucia with my wife.
Every year, we escape to the Caribbean for an intentional reset. No work. No emails. Just time to disconnect and recharge.
St. Lucia has been on our list forever, and we finally made it happen.
I’m grateful this career makes trips like this possible.
The flexibility of regulatory writing means I can truly unplug when I need to.
No patient emergencies.
No weekend rounds.
No on-call shifts.
When I’m off, I’m actually off.
That’s something I didn’t have in other career paths I considered.
It’s one of the unexpected benefits of this career. The flexibility isn’t just about working from home. It’s about actually being off when you’re off. Being able to prioritize rest without sacrificing your career trajectory.
While I was gone, some of you joined this newsletter for the first time. Others might want to catch up on recent posts.
